British Standards Online (BSOL) – a service of the British Standards Institution, is a database of more than 50,000 British standards, including adopted international and European standards. Items are searchable and may be browsed by subject or module.

SPIE Digital Library -  The Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers was founded in 1955 to advance research in light-based technologies. The SPIE Digital Library is billed as the “world’s largest collection of optics and photonics research,” serving a wide array of journals, proceedings, and e-books on optical engineering, photonics, and imaging.

Both databases are on trial till March 31, 2012 only.
