Good news, especially to our faculty! Now you can track the impact of your published researches by accessing Elsevier’s Scopus and Compendex databases. You can now view the number of times that your work has been cited by other scholars in your field.

Scopus is a database of abstracts and citations for scholarly journal articles. It offers author profiles which cover affiliations, number of publications and their bibliographic data, references and details on the number of citations each published document has received. Compendex, which stands for COMPuterized ENgineering index, is a comprehensive engineering bibliographic database containing over nine million records and references which includes journals, conferences and trade publications.

The databases come with forty selected titles of Elsevier published electronic books on Engineering. The forty titles are as follows. The titles are linked directly to the book’s page at ScienceDirect:

Students enrolling for the second semester of AY 2010-2011 are advised to take note of the following:

November 3 - Start of registration.

Library clearance will be available for DCS and EEEI students at the EnggLib2 Circulation section from 8am to 5pm until November 8. Please bring your Form5A. Users with unpaid library fines will not be cleared for enrollment.

November 9 – Start of classes.

Countersigning of IDs will be available at the Circulation Section from 8am to 6 pm. Just present your validated form5 and bring an ID picture if you do not yet have one in your student record.
